"In order to achieve what has been undertaken"

The Association of Trust Schools (ATS) is the governing body of independent primary and secondary schools in Zimbabwe. Founded in 1962, the association has been functioning to support independent education in Zimbabwe. With 64 member schools, (40 Primary Schools and 24 Secondary Schools), each of these schools is run by their own Board of Governors and are not-for-profit entities. ATS is run by an Executive Committee drawn from the Governing Bodies of member schools and representatives of CHISZ. It maintains a staffed office in Harare in Newlands.

Become a Member

While by its very nature an Independent school seeks to be INDEPENDENT, each such school will find enormous benefit in being part of the Association as all schools are in fact Inter-Dependent.

CHISZ

Head of an ATS school becomes a member of CHISZ. The Conference seeks to preserve the independence of its member schools to serve the democratic society from which that independence derives.

Our Ethos

The Association of Trust Schools, formerly called the Association of Governing Bodies of Independent Schools in Rhodesia and Nyasaland, was formed on 19th October 1962.
